Mission

Our mission is to perform following:

To associate legal entities that aim to promote, exploit and educate in engineering fields that lead to the use of modern technologies.

 Collaborate in setting up and supporting the start up advanced technology enterprices.

Cooperate with the FEI STU in Bratislava in education process  with and, as far as possible, participate in the financing of the educational process, which is held at FEI STU in Bratislava.

Carry out a scientific research activity in which he cooperates with FEI STU in Bratislava and with other scientific institutions in Slovakia as well as abroad.


Following the document entitled "The Basis of Interest of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic (MZVaEZ SR) in the Field of Space Policy" NCKI will cooperate:

in the creation of the national legislative framework for the Slovak space activities.

to streamline the interdepartmental coordination mechanism.

in engaging Slovak industry in international activities in the foreign-political, security and foreign-economic spheres.

in the connection of Slovak scientific-research and industrial institutions with the ecosystem abroad. In this respect, cooperation with universities in Switzerland and Israel has been established and further cooperations are expected. The NCKI will help, through the ambassador-at-large for Science, Research and Innovation, to implement activities aimed at promoting international cooperation in the field of space activities.

for activities that will lead to the full membership of the Slovak Republic in the ESA after 2020.

In connection with the activities of The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (MŠVVaŠ SR), NCKI will perform the following activities:

To actively participate in the upbringing of the young generation in the frame of industry 4.0

Create conditions for students that are comparable to those at foreign universities and European industrial centers, with the aim to reduce the number of students going abroad.

Provide support, organizational, technical and administrative activities in the field of space policy with the operation of one contact point in Bratislava and designation of one contact person for communication with and on behalf of The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

Update and manage the databases of R & D organizations, industrial producers and other entities active in the Slovak space industry

To support Slovak business entities and R & D organizations in integrating into European industrial structures, including providing consultations and expert advice, training for entrepreneurs and R & D institutions in the Slovak Republic for successful participation in PECS ESA and EU projects (eg providing consultations on phone for ESA and H2020)

To ensure participation from Slovakia in various student European and NASA-related universe competitions. For winners, organize a visit to the ESA headquarters, organizing student and post-doc internships at ESA-ESTEC Netherlands.

To present Slovakian results in space research and to develop international professional cooperation (eg with the Czech Space Agency, the Austrian Space Agency, ECSL including world space agencies such as NASA, ROSKOSMOS, CNSA, JAXA.)

To support for Slovak Business Entities in Integration into International Industrial Networks and clusters.
